![]() ![]() Gado, Long, and Yugo have all returned, along with others, to search for the cause of the "Sign." Each follows a different path, but they all seek to discover the cause of this curse spreading throughout their kind. This symbol grants them amazing power, making them an unstoppable force compared to normal fighters, but always sentences them to a quick and mysterious death. Strange symbols, known only as the Sign of the Beast, have appeared on the bodies of certain select beastmen. I really cannot wait to see them live again. Now, a new threat has emerged. Whether you were a Bloodywood fan from their early days, covering Bollywood songs on Youtube, or if you have recently been exposed to their original music, this independent band welcomes everyone to be a part of their musical family. Lake Malice and Bloodywood invigorated this tour, bringing together a wider and more diverse fanbase. Bloodywood BloodywoodĮvem after such a special set the fans wanted more, and soon enough, the band came back on stage and performed ‘Gaddaar’ again! It felt different this time, perhaps it was the wall of death in the middle of the pit, but everyone seemed to be screaming along, and as Raoul said, ‘it would be a shame to leave you with so much energy left!’ Bloodywood BloodywoodĪs I said previously, this was a special night for metal fans. London was praised for its diversity, and everyone was cheering along with Raoul’s and Jayant’s speeches about anti-hate. It was wonderful to see the band interact with the fans so much and remind us about who they are: musicians who are using their platform to spread some goodness in the world. Bloodywood Bloodywoodīloodywood treated the audience to more poignant songs from their debut album ‘Rakshak’, such as ‘Jee Veeray’ and ‘Zanjeero se’, before commanding the audience to go crazy with ‘Machi Bhasad’ and ‘Ari Ari’. This is especially important for the next track, ‘Dana-dan’ which is not only an absolute mosh pit sensation but has a really important meaning behind it – definitely check it out on their socials to understand why. This was beneficial to not only let new fans know the meaning of their songs but also let everyone in the room scream about and defy the wrongdoings that were happening around us. Bloodywood BloodywoodĪlthough many of their songs had English subtitles in their music videos, it was really important for the band to tell a short story about the song they were performing. Amidst the headbanging and jumping, there is a calming pause in the song, where Jayant (vocalist) was pleasantly surprised to hear us sing back the tune of this part. Karan (guitarist, flute) opened with Aaj, which means ‘today’ and is an emotive song about living in the present. The band took their time to say all their thank you’s to everyone behind the scene and to those who have helped them get to this stage, it is so difficult not to fall in love with this humble band. Still sticking with the theme of putting your middle fingers up to society and politicians, the band quickly followed with ‘Bsdk.exe’ (a reference to a Hindi swear word). Raoul’s (vocalist) nu-metal rap is such a great way to invite fans to passionately sing along, and many people were singing in Hindi/Punjabi along with Jayant too! This was a great way to open the set as ‘Gaddaar’ exposes the band’s signature blend of heavy metal and traditional Indian music, incorporating elements of Punjabi folk music. Bloodywood‘s set began with the drummer and dhol player blasting away to perform their hit song ‘Gaddaar’ just after we were chanting ‘Bloodywood! Bloodywood! Bloodywood!’ Bloodywood Bloodywood Fans in the Electric Ballroom were utterly crammed in the pit, spilling over to the sides and balconies to get a good glimpse of the New Delhi band. Things felt special at this night of metal music, and I was lucky to witness it. Lake Malice Lake MaliceĪlice’s mixture of vocal techniques, from clean to harsh, vibed throughout the whole venue, getting people hyped up for the main event. The energy of the members was difficult to contain, and by the end of their set, fans were jumping up and down to ‘Stop the Party’ and ‘Blossom’. ![]() Lake Malice Lake MaliceĪlthough their catalogue is not extensive, they performed all their high-energy songs, starting with ‘Black Turbines’ and ‘Creepers’. Alice Guala on vocals and Blake Cornwall on guitar blasted their modern tunes in the Electric Ballroom. This sizzling night of exciting metal music began with the supporting act, Lake Malice, an alternative metal band from Brighton, UK, which formed from the Covid-19 lockdowns in 2021.
